Review on Lacys Stiff Beading Foundation Cabochons by Amanda Castillo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Top of the Line Beaded Necklace

I embroider with beads. The backing fabric requirements are quite strict as cabochons and beads can be very heavy and delicate designs require the edges to be cut very close to the thread. Rigid Lacey is a hard-wearing non-woven fabric that is similar to upholstery. It does everything it says on the tin and I agree with other reviewers that this is the best bead base, especially for heavier and more detailed work. a competitor site that sells this item for a few bucks less, but even a cursory google search for "bead supplies" will lead you to a hugely popular "all the different prices" site where you can find this leaf for less be able. If you really don't want to shell out, just use the high-performance interface. You can buy it at any fabric store, it comes in much larger sizes and works almost as well as Lacy's for heavy beads (just be careful as the interface won't hold up as well if the thread hole is too open). wide).
