Review on Experience Home Theater Like Never Before With ZVOX SoundBase 770 Sound Bar by Israel Thurow

Phenomenal sound, and extreme ease of use. I have owned a number of 5.1 and 7.1 home theater systems. None of them produced sound commensurate with their price tags. I recently got rid of a system using Definitive Technology Speakers, and a Denon receiver. This alleged "high end" surround system was incredibly complicated to use, and did not deliver a sound all that pleasing. I got rid of that system, and got the Zvox 770 sound base to go with my 60" high end Samsung HDTV.The sound of the Zvox is far more pleasing than my previous surround system. It has greater clarity, and just as much dynamic range. My universal remote (Harmony Elite) programmed immediately with the Zvox codes, and works perfectly. No longer do I have to go through a million settings to get clear TV, music, and streaming audio/video from my Apple TV.Is it a 5.1 surround sound system? No, but it is not expected to be as such. It is the ultimate TV speaker unit, that will reproduce extremely clear and distinct digital audio in a large room. My great room is 27x23, and adjoins a 28x13 kitchen-- all open concepts area. The Zvox unit fills the entire area with a full, pleasing sound, with none of the hassles of a full surround system.What is more important? Big name audio components, or pleasing, clear sound, with no fuss or muss. No tangles of wires, or a myriad of settings. Just great sound, and extreme convenience. The Accuvoice circuit works extremely well with difficult dialogue situations (foreign movies, and high music to dialogue situations). I have bass set on 3 and treble on 2. Sound mix is extremely pleasing with surround on the surround 2 profile.In short, I could not recommend this sound base higher. It took 10 minutes to set up, and immediately began to deliver first rate digital sound that pleasingly delivers in a large room.
