Review on Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm πŸ“· f/1.8G Lens: Exceptional Image Quality and Versatility by Ai Fitira ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad buy, well worth the money.

2 times was the owner of Nikon 50mm f / 1.8D but could not make friends with him. At shutter speeds up to 1/60 there were constant blurs. Autofocus often missed, and noisy a / f on this lens. Nikon 35mm f / 1.8G didn’t like it either (it’s terribly chromatic, autofocus misses, the background blurs into a dirty spot) I shot portraits on Nikon 70-300mm f / 4.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR and on a re-sharpened Helios 44M- four. From the first, gorgeous portraits are obtained, but you need to run far away, the second has both bokeh and drawing and aperture, but while you sharpen with the handles, animals and children crawl away))) In general, I am satisfied with the lens, but if you need to shoot beautifully, thoughtfully and slowly, I put on Helios. I was looking for a second-hand lens, but I got a new one from my hands for 6t. R. which makes me doubly happy. New in the store for 8t. R. I probably wouldn't take it.

Pros
  • Sharp at f/2.2 fast autofocus (D300s) lens hood beautiful bokeh (sometimes it spins like on Helios) light (does not outweigh the carcass) nice to hold
Cons
  • Chromatic aberrations (rare, but still) narrow on the crop
