They work well, once you lube the rollerball the ball rolls well. They're a bit difficult to break off to refill, but that's to be expected, so I consider that a plus. They could perhaps include a small slot in the lid that would fit a small screwdriver better, but still be able to pry them out. My only issue and option was to return them as one of the black lids was cracked and unusable rendering one of the jars almost unusable as it could not be sealed. This is why I am giving 4 stars as there is no way to contact the seller to get a replacement.
