It gets very hot but if you have long hair be careful not to twist it too tight. Sometimes I feel my hair will get tangled if I wrap it all over and I'm a little worried that I won't get it out in time and it might burn my hair, but I've thought about it. If you wrap my hair do the same and you will be fine. By playing with the angle and amount of hair you use you can COMPLETELY change the type of curl you get, making it truly versatile. The rectangular shape makes the curls more elastic, although it's not clear why. Phenomenal! Totally recommended, I get compliments every time I use it. Sometimes I just let my natural curls take over, but I'll touch up a few bad curls or lagging curls and that will complete the look.
