What a great watch

Update: I've added a blue version to my garage after my original post. It works great in this place but I don't want it in my bedroom, the red stays there and doesn't disturb my sleep. Since I'm no longer a spring chick, I wanted a clock for my bedroom that was easy to read but wouldn't disturb my sleep due to its obtrusive brightness. Over the years I've found that the clock's blue lights, while beautiful, brighten up a space like Times Square. That's why I chose the red Yortot. Good choice. This clock actually has FOUR levels of brightness and then turns off; I think some descriptions only listed three. Also, one review said only hours can be dimmed, not temp/day/date. This is NOT the case, all displays dim the same way when the dim button is pressed. Set up is easy and the instructions are well written in English rather than a poorly translated other language. The kit includes a mounting template for screw holes, screws, and drywall anchors. I just installed it and set the clock, day of the week and date with no problems. Temperature readings are within 1 degree Fahrenheit of a laboratory calibrated test thermometer. I haven't noticed any effect of temperature on the LED readings. Although the manufacturer claims this over and over again, let it be repeated: WHEN THE POWER IS OFF, THE DISPLAY IS OFF! The two AAA backup batteries not included are only for saving the settings, they cannot support such a bright display. I haven't used the bottom LED display but I think it would help if the clock were used above a door in a commercial space, it works well, has multiple color and dimming combinations but I don't need it in my bedroom so it is over. Since I'm very sensitive to light when falling asleep, I'm still experimenting with different light settings. The one shown in the photo is the next step below full brightness, it seems sufficient for both daylight and sleep. In terms of timekeeping accuracy, it hasn't lost a single second in 24 hours compared to my always accurate internet clock. .So I am very happy with this purchase. Most of the positive reviews are well deserved, I don't think you will be disappointed.
