I was skeptical about buying one of the famous brand's climbing rope bags as they are very expensive and I will be carrying them around the Joshua Tree granite. After a few climbs it holds up well. The bottom of the pouch has some wear from being moved over the cliff edge when setting the anchor. It's big enough to hold my rope and some gear (not all). Clips on the outside are great for shoes and seat belts. You have to be careful when loading the bag as there are no compression straps, but once you unfold the bag you have an idea of where to put stuff. It's not a garbage bag unless it's only used for rope. The shoulder straps are good for a short approach, but not enough padding for something longer. The rope tarpaulin is actually quite big, I was surprised. All in all a great bag for the price, durability would be questionable but that's partly my fault and I can't question if all bags will see the same wear on the bottom.
