Review on 💨 TapRite Dual Pressure CO2 Regulator for 2 Separate Products by Kamil Campbell

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Regulators are rated at 950 lbs maximum inlet pressure

Lots of good reviews so thought I would be sure. It turns out I'm most likely not sure at all. For some intriguing reason, this is assembled with regulator bodies that can only handle a maximum inlet pressure of 950psi. 20 pound "beer gas" tanks (nitrogen/CO2 mix) are about 1900 psi when new (and at room temperature). As far as I can tell I will have almost 1000psi of over pressure when I open the tank valve on my fresh tank. What's really weird is that this rig has a pretty standard 2000psi inlet/tank gauge (despite the product description saying it comes with a 3000psi gauge). I have no idea what might happen when I hook this up to my fresh 1900psi tank. Maybe nothing? Or maybe I'll see what happens when those non-adjustable plugs fail. I have to believe they are assembled in batches and from different suppliers/sources. Maybe other buyers have certified regulators to over 2,000 psi? But looking at mine, they are only safe to use when the tank is half empty.
