They don't hum but they randomly start flickering and 1 out of 3 bulbs have failed after only 9 months. Flickering - The ceiling light is connected to a simple switch (no dimmer) and sometimes a bulb or two will flicker. I checked the contacts on the dashboard - everything is fine. All 4 bulbs have this problem - it's not just the one extreme bulb. I tried swapping out the 4th spare bulb and sometimes it starts blinking the same as the other 3. If you turn off the wall switch and wait a few seconds the flickering stops but it randomly comes back after a few hours or days. Fault - 1 out of 3 lightbulbs I've used have failed after 9 months of use. I haven't had this problem with any other LED bulb and my old CFL bulbs lasted longer. NOTE: They are in a non-pressurized ceiling mount where they have good airflow so they run relatively cool which should give them long life. I paid $16 for a set of 4 so I will not try to get a free replacement from any supplier or manufacturer. I recommend you try a different light bulb instead of this one.
