Review on Occidental Leather 5520 Tool Holder by Joe Duncan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent holster, made in USA

In addition to my January 2017 review (see additional pictures) this case is fantastic. After almost a year of intensive daily use in a busy steel mill, this bag has held up remarkably well. The stitching is still as strong as ever and nothing is torn, bent, warped or broken. This is definitely one of the best purchases I've made. This case really lives up to its name, and the build quality and construction have yet to disappoint me. In the shop, we constantly bump into chafing edges, sparks, crawl and lay on rusty and grimy steel, and this pouch takes it all on like a champ. My daily gear includes a small wire brush, a heavy Estwing jackhammer, welding tongs, and a wide chisel. All that weight didn't detract from this product. The only damage dealt to him is cosmetic, which is to be expected in such an environment. Again, I would highly recommend this holder to anyone in the construction or steel industry. I work as a welder and I'm tired of either using a bucket to keep my essentials handy or trying to carry all the tools to weld parts. Often I place tools on larger parts like beams or joists and lose sight of them, wasting valuable time trying to find my tools. This holster is made in the USA and is of excellent quality. I am very happy with this purchase and I highly recommend it. Leather construction is durable and more resistant to sparks and other hazards in the welding environment than other holsters, especially synthetic or nylon ones. All of my essentials - jackhammer, MIG tongs, soapstone, wire brush, scraper, cleaning brush, small spatula and hammer - can be carried on it, making it easy to have everything right next to me when I need it.
