Review on AcuRite 01226M Indoor Humidity Monitor by Lance Levatte

I find that both humidity monitors I have received are fairly accurate. They are always within 1-2% of the calibrated reading built into my dehumidifier. Two stars deducted for reliability. In the middle of the night the magnet on one of the humidity sensors broke. The monitor fell to the ground and broke into several pieces. The floor in the room it was used in is carpeted, and the carpet underlay used underneath is thicker (softer) than traditional carpet underlay. I was able to fix this monitor and get it working again with a little effort, but it would probably be permanent if it were dropped on a tile or wood floor. To avoid this problem, I would recommend using the built-in stand and placing the monitor directly on a flat surface where it won't bump into anything.
