Review on TransOurDream Upgraded Transfer Transfers Printable Sewing by Kristen Reid

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Surprisingly easy to use

This transfer paper is easy to use with detailed instructions. The transfer paper had no problem printing the image on the Canon Pixma G6020 inkjet printer. I used a piece of canvas for my first attempt. The rendering of the cat image looked great on first use. I waited <8 hours and then threw it in the washing machine, normal cold cycle. The image lost some of its color luster, but didn't run off or anything like that. The image has taken on a leathery texture after washing, I think the image will eventually start to tear after a few washes. Then I threw it out on the patio for 2.5 hours under the hot Florida sun, the sun affected the color giving it a greenish tint. I did this test because I will be making banners for my outdoor art markets, I wanted to see what would happen if they were exposed to sun and water. Although I'm a bit disappointed that the sun changed the hue of the transfer, I still look forward to using this thermal transfer paper for my banners. I also took some photos and attached the image to the canvas bag. I had no problems with the transfer process during my first two tests. ADVANTAGES: Excellent value for money. Prints well on an inkjet printer (I would recommend using the direct feed tray). Tumble dry not tested) Likely to last a few washes Sunlight will distort colour

Cons
  • Easily torn
