I was really hoping this would make a great humidifier/cooler combo for my grow box. The temperature there goes up to 85 and I just need a small device to cool it down from time to time and add some humidity. It looked very promising, but unfortunately it hardly cools the room (2x4x8 feet). I put as many ice cubes as possible in the tank and then fill it up with water. The heat in the closet melts the ice pretty quickly, so it probably doesn't do much to keep things cool. It's not as terrible as a humidifier, but the water tank is so small that it needs to be refilled daily if not twice a day, so it's just more work than it's worth for this feature. Again, this is a good concept, but it falls short of the concept. good for my needs.
