Wanted to fix something simple. This works for me. I used it to mend a pair of shorts. The machine itself is a bit flimsy and there is a learning curve as you have to hold the machine and the fabric at the same time. It just makes a simple stitch and closing/knotting the thread when you're done isn't easy - I'm sure it will get easier with practice. If you're looking for something for a simple repair of thin fabrics, this is it. If you plan to do more complex work or use thicker material - denim, leather, etc. - this will not work. It depends on your needs. Take it for basic sewing purposes, for everything else look elsewhere.
