I got this for gardening as San Diego, CA has relatively harsh water. This morning I measured the tap water coming from my hose at 417 PPM at 8.4PH. Attaching this filter to the hose I got 404 PPM at 8.5PH. Disappointed to say the least but I guess there is no cheap substitute for RO water.While this filter may reduce chlorine and other basic contaminants I would not buy this with the goal of reducing PPM or bringing your PH down, it doesn't do anything of the sort.
- These work great! You can already tell the difference in the water and my garden
- May not provide noticeable results for certain plant species or with certain soil compositions
