I have a 6.5 pound chihuahua and wear it under her jacket in the winter or when it's a little chilly but not quite like a sweater. She has a heart condition and being a Chihuahua we want her to stay warm. They are made of comfortable cotton material. I wash her clothes by hand or in cold water and then let them air dry. I don't put much of her or my clothes in the dryer to extend the life of our clothes. I don't know if they shrink in the dryer or not, but because they were so small, their shirts took very little time to dry. They look cute and I liked that they didn't have the silly phrases that are so common on dog clothes.
