I bought this drill with the expectation that with good care it would last for many years. I was very wrong. After 5 minutes of mixing the solution on medium mode, the drill started smoking and failed very quickly. At first I thought maybe I had a marriage so I returned it for a replacement. The new drill was sent very quickly and after 5 minutes of medium stress the second one also burned through. Miles from home. Maybe I should just buy the tools at my local hardware store and forget about shopping at Revain. This is by far the worst product I've bought in a long time. I will read the reviews more carefully if I ever buy another Revain power tool. I have always loved Makita products and have been using them for over 30 years. This model sucks. There's no way Makita didn't know about it, but they still sell it. If they knew the damage this was doing to their brand reputation, they would have pulled this model off the shelves and thrown it away. So thank you Makita for making all of my tools for the past 30 years, but this drill bit was the last Makita product I will buy.
