Strange when I bought my Pür jug earlier this year it gave me several filter replacement options at a reasonable price. They are all sold out here or available at terrible prices. Kroger and Walmart don't have them. I took the risk and bought it. After receiving them, they are clearly stingy. They are half the size, don't stay in the glass, water flows through them too freely, the list goes on. Pür filters do an excellent job of making tap water taste very neutral and mild. It's not like this. I also use these pitchers to make ice cream. They filter out some detritus as ice from filtered water is pretty clear, but the taste is still not the same. I am now buying a Kroger Brita Krug and it is coming along in leaps and bounds. All the chlorine is gone, but it's still pretty harsh and not very neutral. Tonight I got lucky with three packs of Pür filters in the HEB. . They do little and not worth the time and money. Stick with Pür or leave it out. Brita is a distant second, but still way better than this stuff.
