This cable works very well and is long enough to extend the solar panel power cable up to 32.8 feet which is more than enough for placing the solar panels in a location where it gets 100% sun. I used mine to place my panel on the roof of my house then I routed the wire through the drain pipe and then underground to the light. The cable connections appear to be waterproof, but for added protection, there's no harm in running a cable inside. from a small PVC pipe if you plan to run the wire underground like I did. If you need to move your lantern's solar panels to a new location to get the best sun, this wire is the way to go. I think it's worth the money.
