The remote control uses a 2025 battery, you can adjust the focus with the button on the top. Then use the image resolution to improve the quality even further. This showed around 70 to 80 inches I think and saves hundreds of dollars by not buying a TV for my living room. I don't even have a screen, you can see that on the wall. Darkening the room also helps. At only $40 it was worth every penny and the $50 Roku Stick I use and you can customize the resolution on this device too. Hope that helps!
