We just REALLY used our Whall toaster over the weekend when we had company (my wife and I used to love it ever since we found our perfect — and lasting — custom toast number). Family members who wanted toast could walk out of our rooms and get the chips they wanted. Two requested bagels that we froze so this was the first opportunity to use the thaw option. It worked well but took longer than we expected. But we were told, 'Hey, look how long it takes to defrost something in the microwave. The people who worked with the bagels were happy with the result, so defrosting seems to be working. It's been a while since we bought a toaster. and having found one in which we have both our crunchiness preferences and consistency and happy members of the bagel family at this price point we couldn't be happier.
