I bought a size 'medium' in pink for my 18lb Yorkiepoo. It looks absolutely amazing on her and she loves it too. I know this because she made a constant effort to take it off when she didn't like it. It's just her style. It's made to fit snugly around the neck and is easily adjustable with a metal clasp. I find this to be a durable necklace, even for a furry child who scratches their ear from time to time. Pearls appear to be very reliable despite being free to move. I do NOT think it can cause choking if it falls apart because pearls are smaller than small stone pellets. However, I suggest that each "canine parent" evaluate safety individually based on your "furry child's" habits. I also have a little bell to let you know where your little one is. My furry little one is extremely active and people call her "OH". 😮 It's a bit embarrassing when someone calls your baby "OH" and has to correct that person and tell them your furry baby is a girl. .even if they saw her chasing a doberman, destroying your garden etc. 😳 I'm sure someone knows the feeling. With these gorgeous gems on, they'll automatically know she's a girl and definitely NOT a 'dude' even when she's in action. Hope that helps!
