Reading the reviews people complained that they weren't bright enough or too bright. They just suit me. Let me explain: 1- Yes, the lights flash randomly. You won't notice the pattern when you turn it on. The flickering effect is caused by the rapidly changing intensity of the LED candle, it's not the same as the filament you might see in a lightbulb. They are connected to your windows. As long as they're at the top. 3- To help them hold on, place the suction cup about 1 inch from the top. If you place the cup closer to the ground, they are much more likely to fall off the window. (Blame Gravity) 4- Each one comes with a candle holder if you want to put it on a flat surface. 5- Each wand requires 2 AA batteries and I am happy to report that they come with the candles. 6- remote control. We have two in a pack which helps. A- You can turn the candle on and off within, say, 10 feet. B- There are two modes for you to choose: candle flicker mode and constant light mode. C- You can make the light brighter or dimmer according to your needs. D- It also has a timer mode. You can choose whether the candles should burn for 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours. 1- Turn on the candle and then choose how long. Suppose you choose 2 hours. They turn off automatically after 2 hours. 2. The best part is that they turn on again for 2 hours 24 hours after turning on and then turn off again. This is repeated every day. You don't have to go into every room in the house every day and turn the lights on and off. 3- So you know that there is a hard switch at the bottom of the candle, it is a small black button. You'll see when you put the batteries in. We ran these candles for 8 hours every night, turned them on once and set them to 8 hours and we haven't had to worry about them since. Storage.
