Accuracy, build quality and value for money are the most important things we look for in a compression tester. I don't have another compression tester to test accuracy, so I can't judge by that criterion. Either way, when you're testing compression, you're more concerned with cylinder consistency, or lack thereof, meaning the tester's pinpoint accuracy isn't the biggest issue. Although it would be nice to know about it. In terms of build quality, the sensor itself seems pretty cheap. The dial inside isn't parallel to the glass or substrate, and it's the same story with the support pad that holds the glass. Because of this, I think it's better to buy such a tool from a store where you can see exactly what you're getting. The hose appears to be well made. The mount also looks well made. Reliability is the main reason you look for a tester that costs 50% more than those you know are of poor quality. You want to buy one that will last for years. Until the results are available, this model tester will no longer be produced. This is gambling. Which brings us to the value for money. That, too, will take time, and one can only speculate about that at the moment. My final thoughts: 3 stars out of 5 for my impression of the build quality, what do I expect, what does durability mean and how much does it cost.
