Really sweet! in sand

This is a mix of what appears to be crushed coral with crushed rocks and sand. It's really pretty to look at and reflects tons of light back. Very happy with this substrate!

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • No insurance

Nice addition to the look of the tank.

I like this sand. There are different grits, and yes, some of them are huge. I personally don't like big chunks so I pull them out when I see them. But in general the sand is very nice, lots of texture and color. I didn't have a problem with it blowing either.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Mostly ok, but...

Great for cycling the new tank! Good grit.

Excellent product. Helps launch new tanks faster. The only problem I had with the product description was that it didn't define the grain size. Maysack was naturally sand, meaning it's smaller than crushed coral and large enough not to be sucked in when cleaning the bottom during a water change.

Pros
  • Inspires trust
Cons
  • Negative impression

Perfect for Mix Reef Tank

The sand is so beautiful. You can see pink colors. And it's not easy to call it off. I have a pack for my 25g Innovative Marine Fusion Lagoon 25g. In most places it is about 1/2"-3/4", in some places it is about 1"-1 1/4". The Diamond Orange Bull can move it easily. But a two-spotted goby spits out a larger size, and finer or finer sand comes out of its gills. Hope that helps.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • It's OK

Big Sand is a quality product

I use this 20 lb Arag Alive sandbag to help with live sand filtration in a mini container that has been repurposed for this sand. 20# sand provided about a 3 inch deep surface in this container which was then placed in my open sump in my hydroponic grow tray. in my case it is a must. Sand provides a great habitat for nitrifying bacteria and is excellent for this application.

Pros
  • Worth your money
Cons
  • It makes me nervous

This is just a blatant scam. I have bought many bags of Pink Live Bimini Sand in the past and knew as soon as I took this bag out of the box that it was NOT a Pink Bimini. Upon closer inspection I found two blue stickers on the bag as shown in the photo. A sticker obscured the original barcode printed on the package and the "Bahamian Oolite" label. Another blue sticker read, "Best used before December 2022." on the photo.

Pros
  • Finally bought it

  • Some cons

ugly sand I will never buy again.

Everything is fine, but very shaky. I would never buy this again. In fact, I ordered sand that I knew was good and tried to remove as much of it as possible and replace it with good sand. Also, there were a lot of dead bugs (mosquitoes) and red pebbles in it. It just doesn't look very nice at the bottom of my aquarium. Can't wait to get it from there. Still, he was 20 pounds and the right color. Update: The longer I leave this sand in my tank, the more I dislike it. My water has been cloudy for
