Review on 🌈 Lian Li PW24-V2 ADDRESSABLE RGB STRIMER Plus 24-PIN: Elevate Your PC Aesthetic with Brilliant RGB Illumination! by Joseph Swanson

Excellent RGB cable for a nice and tidy look

I didn't know RGB cables existed until recently! The Lian Li model caught my attention because I have a Razer focused RGB build and Lian Li is on their list of compatible brands. The reviews were great too so it wasn't a problem for me. Mine is connected to an addressable Razer Chroma RGB hub. Where it shines (look what I did there) - brightness. This thing is bright as everything comes out at 100% brightness. I need to keep the streamer brightness a bit lower than most other RGB components. As far as I know, this is one of the improvements of the "Plus" version. - Build quality is excellent. The cable is stiff enough to feel premium and durable, yet nimble enough to do a U-turn from the MB to the back of the case with a few inches of cable on the back of my case. - Razer lighting effects look great when connected to my Chroma controller. - The color saturation looks good and matches the other of my components. I can't tell you how amazing this thing looks in action. It spices up any RGB build and now that I have it installed I can't imagine my setup without it. FYI - these aren't necessarily bad things, just something I've learned along the way. together. I can't say anything bad about this product. REGULATOR. Even though I connected it to my Razer controller, I still had to connect the Strimer to its own controller and then connect that controller to my Razer controller. It works, but I don't think I can fit too many controller boxes into the back of my case and still mount a sidebar! Lian Li's controller also has room for a GPU strimer. So if you want to use both, this controller will come in handy (see the GUP strimer warning below). : Razer Synapse Studio. Streamer appears as a light bar in Synapse and you cannot customize the color of individual LEDs. Razer effects (like wave, fire, wheel, etc.) work great. However, you cannot say that all other LEDs are one color and the rest are another. it shows up directly in Synapse Studio, but not on Streamer itself. Not a problem for me, but annoying nonetheless. LIAN LIS CONTROLLERS vs. THIRD PARTY CONTROLLERS. If you want to switch between effects on a Lian Li controller and another controller, you need access to the Lian Li controller to press the "M1" button for two seconds. Simple enough, but you need to make sure you place the controller somewhere easy to access. This can be tricky as the cable from the streamer to Lian Li's controller isn't very long so you're limited to that. CABLE MANAGEMENT - Make sure you have enough space for cable management. I don't have a modular power supply so I'm at a disadvantage here. Luckily, my case has plenty of room for cable management. The Strimer is quite bulky and the cable that is left after connecting the cable at the back takes up a lot of space. Not to mention that this tucks the entire MB power cable (which plugs into the strimer) into the back/bottom of the case. GPU STRIMER. Be careful when you buy GPU streamers. Each end of the cable has about a half inch gap between the RGB stop and the end of the power cable. For 24pin this is not a problem as my RAM is blocking this gap from one end and the other is behind the motherboard. However, it stands out a bit and is noticeable on the GPU. I don't have photos because I didn't get this one, but looking at the review photos on Revain I found out. For my GPU I went with braided cables to make it look better and I'm very happy. You can see them in the photos attached to my review.
