As many reviews say, the product comes rolled up tightly in the box so it won't lay flat when you receive it, but this is very easily remedied by rolling it in the opposite direction and then putting it back in the box boxes overnight. It still had some twist on the ends as several reviews say - this is how I solved it and it works very well: VERY CAREFULLY used my heat gun to not overheat and melt the cable protector. It turned out very warm and pliable, like wet spaghetti noodles, with an emphasis on ruffled ends. Always keep the heat gun moving to avoid burning or melting the stain. Then I put it on the floor in the garage (didn't want to heat up the finished wooden floor) and let it cool completely evenly. Now it lies flat and straight at the ends too. The dimensions correspond to those indicated: length, width, height and channel. Easily accepts a 14 gauge extension, but I'm sure it's the largest cable it will accept. If the internal extensions are smaller you could probably easily connect 2, maybe 3? It looks MUCH better on my wooden floor than just a thin extension. The cable is also well protected. A good solution for running permanent wiring to one of my side tables that is away from a wall. I didn't use tape as I don't want it on my wood. But I saved the cassette to use in another project. Very happy with the purchase for the price, delivery, quality and functionality. I would buy it again and recommend it.
