The SYMA x300 is a great entry-level drone, which made me skeptical at first given the price. After all, you get what you pay for, right? Not here...You get a lot more than you pay for. These drone kits have something others don't, but at twice the price. X300 comes with 2 batteries; The battery seems to last much longer than other drones. I think I had about 50 minutes of flight time (25 minutes on battery). Charging time is 1-2 hours per battery depending on the power of your plug. The included remote control is fantastic. You can use it with or without a smartphone as the remote control has a cradle that holds your smart device in full screen mode. The drone will hover at the altitude you set it to and you can take your hands off the controls and it will stop at the altitude you last set it at. So if you find yourself in pilot panic, just release the joystick and it will stop in space. A feature that saves you from crashes and damage. The fit can also be easily adjusted on windy days. So if you want to hover and the drone is flying upwind, just press the joystick and lift it upwind for a second and you'll hover in one place. It's so easy to set up in all conditions. Input and responsiveness are also excellent. Many drones in this price range take a second or two to respond immediately to inputs, making the X300 incredibly fun to fly. One of the great features is the single "Ground Return Function" button. Just press the button once and the X300 drone will descend to the ground, stopping millimeters off the ground before gently landing. I highly recommend it as a training drone to upgrade to pricier models if you want to upgrade to more advanced features that come with a hefty price tag. Fly it for a few weeks and you'll be glad you have the experience and confidence I gained immediately on my first flight. I plan to activate the SYMA X500 that my friend flies now that I understand the basics of flight controls. This will always be in my quiver for the joy of flying and to teach new pilots the exciting world of remote controlled drone flight. You won't find a better drone in this sub-$100 price range.
