I really wanted it, but the disadvantages outweigh the advantages of the dictaphone. It sounds good for the most part, but compared to a much cheaper audio recorder it sounded much more muffled and not as loud when played through my computer. Playback on the device through the built-in speakers was terrible. It's almost inaudible at maximum volume. I had to connect an external speaker to it. I'm also not a fan of forward and back buttons. Since I use this for dictation, these are the features I use most to scroll through an audio recording. The buttons got awkward after a while and really should be easier to control. The Dragon software is great if you practice it with your voice, but forget about speaking as it starts making up words along the way and it's pointless. I've tried other software and apps that are significantly more accurate without learning.
