As someone with some mechanical ability Views with these

Just received these today - more than a little concerned based on some of the reviews I've seen. Here is 100% factual information about them: - Are they scratched? It depends on how neurotic, picky, ar or whatever you are. They are made of rather soft plastic, so if you hold them so that the surfaces shine in the sun, they will leave small scratches. It's nothing the average person will notice at 2 feet away, and it's not the kind of scratches I was expecting from reading some reviews, but it's also not transparent like glass. If you are making buttons for a fun and/or casual event or for children, no problem. But if you're doing something for Bridesilla's wedding, you should look elsewhere. - Are they breaking up? Only if you don't connect them properly. I slid mine together at the bottom, then pinched them together and circled in both directions at the same time until I made a full circle. Then I pulled on the needle (while holding the front edges) to see if they clicked together. They were, and they were a perfect match. - Can you post a photo? I did it and it worked very well. In fact, the photo paper used is thick enough to hold the cover panels together. - How about a circle cutter? Even if they are 2 1/2" buttons, if you have an EK Tools circular hole punch, get one for 2 1/4" circles. This size fits these bowls with a little "play" around the edges. Again, if you don't line everything up to the width of a mosquito lash it will drive you crazy, get a badge making machine. Otherwise it's good. -- Any advice? Why yes . yes there is one After you've pierced/cut out all your circles, make a small pencil mark on the back of each circle to show where the top center is. This will help you line things up when you put your back on it. Keeping the front side horizontal, center the image face down and carefully place the back side without moving it (this may cause the image to shift). Then just connect the halves.
