Well, today I received it in the mail. I was initially skeptical based on the reviews and the lack of a good size chart. But they fit great and I expect them to be great for the hikes I plan to do. fixed size 14 dress size for women. I'm 5ft 6" and about 200lbs (I really don't know, it's been a minute since I last weighed myself). My hips are about 46 inches (that booty). I bought XXL and they fit great! They are not too tight and have freedom of movement. I like the elastic waist as I don't have to worry about the plumbers popping when moving or constant lifting. They are a good length but I will say they rise a bit at the waist. These are high waist pants. Belt: God, the belt is terrible. The belt is opened by pressing on the front part of the "buckle" on the right side (on the non-detachable side when viewed from below). I would recommend NOT using it. Bags: Yes, they are everywhere. There is only ONE (1) back pocket, don't know how important they are to you. Two regular zip pockets. I don't know how well they fit my phone (Note 8). I broke my phone case and it should arrive tomorrow so I don't know how well it will work. Even if you're worried about something falling out of your pocket, don't. they all zip! Zippers: This is how these pants turn into shorts. The zipper on the legs is covered with a fabric flap and doesn't seem too uncomfortable to me. The zipper falls below the knee so I don't expect them to dig in if/when I sit down while in shorts. Noise: yes. They make noises when walking. It will happen. It sounds like you're swinging your arms really fast while donning one of those old-school windbreakers. But seriously, don't let that put you off. When you're having fun and hiking, who cares how much noise your pants make!
