I have made over 80 cups of coffee with this machine, but with two different machines. The first clogged on the 35th cup. But the second didn't slow down at all after 50 cups. Today was the 50th so I knew it was time to write a review. First things first, you need to take care of this product. You should not: 1. Put it in the dishwasher (unless you want to drink soapy coffee)2. Use finely ground beans 3. Use boiling water (wait until it cools down a bit)4. Cannot be thoroughly cleaned after each use. By using a coarse grind, using the right water temperature, and brushing vigorously after each use, it's working great after 50 uses. This company is really great too. I emailed them to let them know my first one was clogged and they sent me a replacement free of charge with a handwritten note. I appreciate that very much. ---- TASTE: Well, compared to Chemex, I'm not sure, but since they don't use a paper filter, you theoretically get more flavor out of the coffee. What I experienced was a richer coffee flavor as well as a cleaner caffeine "high". Unlike most coffees I drink in cafes, I don't feel as much like a meltdown after drinking it. I also feel like it lights up my brain a lot more than filter coffee, no matter what coffee blend I use (although organic is best). So I really liked the flavor this thing produces and I love it because it's so unique. You won't find the kind of coffee served in coffee shops so having it at home makes me feel special lol. B. for tearing off rubber parts. Yes, the rubber part for the thumb comes off easily. But who cares. I do not care. The only downside is that you can't brew more than a few cups of coffee. I only use it for myself so it's perfect for my needs.
