Good device, holds well, strong and elegant

I received the tablet stand quickly and am very happy with the longevity of the device. I bought rose gold which is a very delicate metallic shimmering pink with a soft sheen and a very elegant look. I tried it on my HD10 "Fire" and it held the position whether the mount was straight up and down, at an angle or on its back, and it holds securely with the tablet in both landscape and portrait orientations also in portrait mode. It has a rubber/soft plastic base made of slightly sticky, non-slip material that keeps it securely in place, and similar material on the bottom and behind the curved mount to keep the tablet from sliding on the tabletop or in a holder. To raise the base you'll need to pull hard, but don't damage what it's standing on, so don't be afraid of glass, tile, granite, or any other material. I haven't tried it on wood, but when it's done I can't see it as it can take damage there too. The only minor issue for Fire tablet owners is that you have to either plug in the charger in portrait mode to shift the Fire, or be sure to flip it over as the connector is on the side of the power button, not in the middle section , and not accessible through the cut-out at the bottom of the stand. Biasing it to charge from below doesn't seem to compromise the stability of the fire, so there's no reason to dock a star. There are no problems in landscape format because the connector is on the side. All in all a very good device and highly recommended!
