I bought this mat to hold things like cell phones well but the material is not what I expected. It's a kind of jelly-like material made in China, no one knows which material. I certainly wouldn't trust it enough to put it on the dashboard of a luxury car for fear it would leave oil or residue. If you've ever played with those little kids' toys where there's a little rubber hand at the end of a long elastic cord that you can throw at something to make the little hand stick, that's what it looks like. I suppose it will pick up dirt, dust and lint like crazy. Too sticky for me. He comes back.
