I bought this case to house my backup clone of my hard drive. Right at the beginning I noticed that the hard drive randomly goes offline and then immediately reconnects. At first I thought it was the USB 3.1 card in my PC, so I reinstalled it with no noticeable improvement. I thought it was the USB 3.0 cable that came with the device and bought a new 3.0 cable. The occasional dropouts continued with the new cable. I had a reason to move my hardware this weekend and noticed that the dropouts can be caused by the USB cable (any cable) wiggling on the side of the case. It didn't take long to locate the faulty connector on the case. Now I know why they only offer a 90 day guarantee. I have 90+10 days. I would not recommend this item.
