My Seagate Backup Plus external hard drive has stopped working and won't power on. I disassembled the outer shell of the case and removed the hard drive and put it in this new ORICO 3.5 hard drive case. It turned on the first time and my computer recognized the drive immediately. I prefer to buy hard drives without cases because I have a lot of blank drives, so I prefer to reuse them when I can. The only problem is that I don't pay attention to the type of drive I buy (ATA, SATA, SATA III, etc.) I may not have in an enclosure.
