Review on Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Fixed Lens - Discontinued by Manufacturer by Ai Esumi ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Satisfied with the product, I recommend it to everyone.

I chose from seven (!) Copies, not regretting half a day. The seventh in the fourth store was without front and back focus, all the others missed by a lot or not. The filter and hood (wind it carefully and do not remove it, otherwise you will damage the trunk) cost almost the same as itself. AF smears very often, in low light it will definitely miss, here is the question - why is it needed if it does not work accurately? I only got one frame right on target and 1.8! When illuminating the face in the forehead. Tested sharpness. If an ordinary portrait is not shot in a studio, then it will miss. The fact that the lens is soapy is not true, if the focus hits, then the picture is very sharp. At full frame, the edges vignette nicely. Bottom line: the price is ridiculous, a lot of marriage, plastic, all so cheap and creaky, in short, this is a stub for a carcass that can take good shots! Of course, I recommend it for purchase, it costs as much as one evening in a cafe to treat friends to dinner or a bottle of good alcohol. Take it, let the dust not fly into the carcass with the help of this bayonet cap, and it can remove a masterpiece !

Pros
  • PRICE, aperture is not bad, the presence of AF for this money, sometimes sharp.
Cons
  • AF very often misses, plastic, they say the lenses too, creaks and buzzes, the proboscis leaves.
