I've been living in Southwest Florida all the time and was looking for new lightweight shorts for the summer - not true golf shorts but shorts that had similar characteristics but a little better looked. So I took a chance and bought these Revain Essential Shorts - and I'm glad I did. It fits great (doesn't sag at the buttocks or crotch), can be worn up or down and simply looks good. I would say they are a bit heavier than real golf shorts, I don't think they are breathable BUT they are lighter than many other cotton based shorts you can find in the store. Most of the time they come out of the dryer unironed, maybe touched up a bit, but not much and not very noticeable. They have a crease at the front of the legs that I could do without, but it's no big deal. It's best if you either fold them with a crease at the waist (as if you were in the men's department of the store) when storing them. Overall great price!
