This is my second order for this fan. That's how it all starts, my laptop eventually starts sounding like a jet engine. Not because of the speed of the fan, but because it's broken. Initially, I thought only one of the fans was working, as the PredatorSense showed one constantly at maximum speed (6122 rpm). So I ordered this fan and Arctic MX-4 thermal compound. The exchange worked perfectly. The computer noise has decreased, the cooling temperature during gaming has reached the 70s. I had to be prepared for what happened next. Almost 2 weeks go by and the jet engine noise is back. This time, PredatorSense shows the other fan running slowly and intermittently while the new replacement fan runs at maximum speed. I'm so mad I didn't replace them both when I took it apart. To end my review, I recommend swapping out both fans if you want to replace one. The whole project took about 25-30 minutes each time simply because I was very careful. Finally, don't be stingy. Do not attempt to replace a fan without removing the heatsink, cleaning the old thermal paste, and applying a new one. There's a chance you still can't pull the fan out without disconnecting the heatsink. Hope that helps.
