Just installed (2014 RAM) and mostly plug and play. If you have a receiver, the bracket (shown in the pictures) that holds the lamp mount is a bit difficult to get out (limited space). Sprayed with wd40, waited a few seconds and removed. I noticed that the wires that went into the socket were "reversed", I had to flip the wires to the other side for metal to metal contact. Another thing, you need to put a little effort to put it in the socket and it will go in. Once again, be patient. Otherwise they are bright. I have attached a photo of a regular lightbulb and an old bracket holder. They fit perfectly. They're damn bright.
