Sturdy mid-calf socks that my 11 year old son likes to wear for some reason, stretched up. (Apparently it's a thing.) And the more colorful the sock the better, which is why he's particularly fond of the neon greens and blues in this set. He's pretty strict about socks, as he often walks in our stone slippers, and they hold up the same or even better than others. Would definitely buy again.
