I do A LOT of woodworking, furniture assembly, interior decorating, decorating and remodeling. This paper is in no way inferior to 3M paper and is significantly cheaper, especially compared to the hardware store around the corner or even large hardware stores. Tough enough on softwoods too, smooth finish and a good range of grits which I cut to fit the various hand sanding blocks I own. highlighted.
