These things are amazing! I'd seen them before but kept scrolling past them and figured they wouldn't work on my coaster dining chairs. This time I stopped and read a few reviews and finally realized that the METAL CYLINDER IS THE "NAIL" mentioned in the product name. So I ordered enough for 6 chairs (plus some extras), removed the sticky felt pads from the underside of the wooden chair legs and just attached them to each leg. I wish I had discovered this many years ago! Don't repeat my mistake. You save money constantly changing stickers and time carefully scraping the adhesive off the floor, not to mention protecting the floor from scratches when the felt pads wear out or slip off. Just get them!
