I really like these sponges. I have fairly sensitive skin and was looking for alternative ways to clean my face without stripping it. Well I took them along with a lower pH detergent and they worked like a dream. The sponges give me a nice clean feeling without the tightness and dryness I used to feel with other types of cleaning brushes and soaps. You don't look like an ordinary sponge; they look like a sponge made of strong gelatin. I think that's why they are so gentle on the skin. They also lather well with any type of detergent. I tried them with my old Cetaphil detergent and they even lathered the stuff which is quite difficult to get a good lather with hand/washcloth/brush. Each has a string attached for hanging. I will say that after the first "drying out" they have a slight odor (they are completely dry and wrinkled sponges that need watering). It's not uncomfortable and completely gone after a few uses, but I found it worth mentioning. Would I call it a musty herbal smell? I'm not sure how to place it but it's not too visible and as I said it disappears. Overall a great product at a great price. I love the cute heart shape too!
