Revain's Irwin Quick-Grip clamp design is a good concept - perfect idea for anything that needs to be held in place for gluing. Lifting and screwing parts. Unfortunately, the Irwin clamp is loosely built and has too much play in the clamp's movement, making it problematic when trying to fit dissimilar parts together - no need to contend with a sloppy clamp and parts of your project. The clamp should be part of the solution, not part of the problem. I see the same clamp being advertised under brand names from a number of manufacturers e.g. B. Jet 52841 and Bessey Angle/Corner Clamp WS3 appear to be pretty much identical - I don't know if they are all made in the same factory or not so this review must not refer to other brands.
