This powerblanket is beautifully finished and works well. Quickly picks up and maintains temperature. The heat appears to be fairly evenly distributed across the "inner" surface. That's why I give 4 stars - initial performance. My only complaint is that unlike the photo that accompanies this listing, what we received has the cord almost protruding from the top of the duvet. It makes no sense and the cord dangles (that's how gravity works) where it plugs into the heavy-duty power strip. The weight of the unit's own cable puts pressure on the connection where it enters the edge of the ceiling. This is an obvious weak point and I'm sure it will short out over time due to the constant (and unnecessary) bending and hanging of the cable. That is unnecessary. The blanket is intended to be used in a "vertical" position around the bucket. The cord should come out of the blanket at the BOTTOM edge of the blanket end near the "skirt" and not at the top edge. We have just ordered a second unit and it will be interesting to see if the cable catches up with the new one. from somewhere else.
