Quiet no Quiet yes
It works, but it's not quiet. The sound it makes is a vibrating hum. This is the quietest air pump I have ever seen. If the noise is still a problem, you can run an air hose from the toilet. If that still bothers you, get some aquarium plants. I've never had a problem with them making too much noise.
