The hat was only slightly too small, but I suspect that that has nothing to do with the measurements the seller provided. I only had one problem with it; the inside of the hat is lined with a cloth of some sort. I'm not sure if it's linen. I was expecting it to be just straw, without the inner lining. The sweat band is decent, and I really like the way the brim curves. I have a fedora, and am something of a hat aficionado, so I figured I'd get a panama hat for the summer. This works well to block the sun, though the brim is too short to provide total protection for your shoulders and neck. I would definitely recommend it for someone who is just getting into hats, or just needs I nice, stylish hat for the summer.
