It works, but it takes time and energy.

Used to repair a motorcycle windshield. I did most of the work by hand, then finished with a drill and a foam pad. I left the shield mounted on the bike, which slowed things down a bit. It took 3.5 hours to polish both sides. Initial condition had many small swirl scratches and some tarnishing. Came out like new. Used #2 for restoration, #1 as a cleaner. Use up/down/left/right to deal most of the damage, hand circles to do the rest, drill and foam for the final finish. Light? Great results? Yes.
