Great heat gun. good for heat guns

Best heat gun I've seen. My only complaint is the nozzle, and the Wagner 10355 Heatgun Nozzle Hub, https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B010MC54PQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, fits perfectly. is a 4-way review, perhaps most relevant to sous vide cooks: 1) heat gun, 2) burner, 3) searzall, 4) fan nozzle. suvid. When I bought it, I didn't know about the fan nozzle. However, this is a great heat gun. Cost: $28.30. Next purchase is the popular Benzomatic TS8000 torch and accompanying Searzall torch attachment. This flashlight is a great replacement for my old propane torch and Searzall adds features as shown in numerous youtube videos. Cost, burner $40, searzall $75, total $114. Then I discovered the Porter Cable Fan Nozzle, which fits the Porter Cable PC1500HG heat gun, making it almost as efficient as the Searzall and Torch for searing meat. And I can use a Porter Cable heat gun in a meat room on a cheap steel "jelly roll" pan that I usually set on my gas stove in case hot air escapes the rim of the pan. Place the attachment a fraction of an inch above the meat and it will brown fairly quickly. Cost: $11.44. Yes! I paid 10x the nozzle cost for Searzall and Torch! I will use Searzall occasionally, but only when I have enough burn to warrant an outdoor task. In most cases, the time it takes to get everything outside, get the cutter out of the garage, put the cutter back in, and go back inside makes using an electric heat gun just as effective indoors, maybe even more so more efficient. All of the products work great, but sometimes I think if I knew then what I know now, I could have saved $114. However, Searzall is hotter than a torch and covers a larger area.

Pros
  • Light 2lb gun less tiring to hold
Cons
  • unreliable
